Stars arrived at the French Riviera just about a week ago to attend the gamorous Cannes Film Festival 2019.
According to People, many stars and Hollywood insiders are attending the festival to promote their films, most of which are making their world premieres at the event.
Getting a film into the festival, which launched on September 20, 1946, is already a mark of prestige, since only a few dozen films from around the world are picked for official screenings out of many submissions.
1. Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez and Bill Murray attended the Cannes 2019 red carpet for the world premiere of “The Dead Don’t Die”, an upcoming zombie thriller that they’re both starring in.
She wore a simple satin bustier and a white textured skirt with a high split from Louis Vuitton. Her makeup look is incredible with the classic cateye and bold red lips. Epitome of glam!
2. Elle Fanning
In a Valentino Botanical Gown, Fanning wore Chopard jewels and Sophia Webster shoes to the “Les Miserables” premiere on Day 2. The dress revealed her sexy back and looked even more ethereal with the gorgeous floral prints with the train.
Her pinkish and light makeup complimented her floral and feminine look perfectly. The braids she had up is so delicate, complimented with the floral in pastel colours.
3. Bella Hadid
Bella Hadid is back on the Cannes red carpet for the premiere of “Rocketman”. Although she always portrayed as a sexy goddess, she went for a slightly more modest look wearing Dior‘s Haute Couture.
The beautiful cream colour dress featured an asymmetrical hem and halter neckline. Her bodyline could be seen undearneath the sheer mesh material in a subtle and beautiful way.
4. Priyanka Chopra
The burning fire in hell never looked so good, until it is unleashed on the Cannes Red Carpet 2019. Priyanka Chopra wore a Roberto Cavalli Gown with Chopard Jewelry at the screening of 5B. The strapless dress had a thigh-high slit, accessorised with a pair of silver statement earrings.
Her makeup look was fierce, with an unconventional double winged eyeliner.
5. Deepika Padukone
Her first appearance on the Cannes 2019 red carpet featured a dramatic custom Peter Dundas gown, radiating strong femme fatale vibes. The sleeves were extremely puffy, with a plunging neckline, magnificent black bow slid across in front and a super voluminous train.
Her spectacular outfit was complimented perfectly with the high ponytail and fierce makeup. She also adorned simple earrings to complete her look.
6. Peechaya Wattanamontree
Peechaya Wattanamontree attended the screening of “Pain And Glory (Dolor Y Gloria/ Douleur Et Glorie)” in the most glorious light blue ruffle tulle dress from Alikaroui Couture.
She looked like a modern day fairytale princess in this outfit, accessorised with the most elegant jewelry from Avakian with a green heart diamond!
7. Hina Khan
Same as Selena Gomez, it was Khan’s debut on the Cannes red carpet. She made her first appearance during the screening of “Bacurau” and she literally shone like a diamond.
The dress belonged to Zaid Nakad‘s collection “Orion”, featuring a plunging neckline and a pair of balloon sleeves leading to elaborated floor-length sleeves.

8. Hannah Quinlivan
Quinlivan walked the red carpet in a clasic black gown with bustier by Armani Prive. I think the design really flattered her svelte figure. Her simple makeup and hairdo resembles the classic Audrey Hepburn style.
Also, can we just applaud Jay Chou for being the most supportive husband? He was literally seen “spying” on his wife when she was walking on the red carpet. So cute!
9. Araya Hargate
Araya A. Hargate was on the red carpet for the premiere of “Les Miserables” on Tuesday (May 14). The sheer Atelier Versace Spring 2019 corset gown was extremely seductive and portrats sexiness with class.
The pastel hues of the dress, together with the multicoloured florals cascading from the high-slit made her look like a Greek goddess. So gentle, soft & feminine.
10. Eva Longoria
Longoria was a real showstopper as she cascaded the Cannes 2019 red carpet in this Alberta Ferretti gown to attend the screening of “The Dead Don’t Die“.
The two different texture of the fabric complimented each other perfectly. She exposed plenty of leg on that night thanks to the daring design of the thigh-slit gown.
To sum it up, I definitely see a trend of flamboyant tulle & exaggerated length of trains for the Cannes Film Festival this time round. Which are some of your favourite looks? Let me know!
