Hello everybody! It’s been awhile since I’ve blogged. I’ve dying to share so many wonderful things with you guys and I’m happy to be back at my keyboard to serve more fresh content for all of you!
Last month, we celebrated my daddy’s birthday party at PARKROYAL Penang Resort. It was intended to be a surprise for him, so we didn’t inform him about the details too much.

My sis and I checked in first around 2pm so we have more time to organise everything and settle down first before our parents arrive. We were welcomed and greeted by the general manager of PARKROYAL Penang Resort – Phil and his team. They were kind enough to show us around the hotel and later escorted us to our room.

The two types of rooms that we booked were Garden Suite Two Bedroom and Family One Bedroom. They were so lovely to prepare light snacks and refreshments upon guest arrival. The Garden Suite Two Bedroom is so spacious and indeed suitable for larger families who are travelling.
Highlighted facilities: Gym, steam room, jacuzzi, two swimming pools, spa, sunset bar, javana lounge, Gustoso, cinnamon Asian Kitchen and on site watersport.
Some of the most amazing features includes the home theatre where you can watch movies and YouTube videos. They also provided complimentary Blu Ray CDs to be played in the entertainment room. If you have a younger kid in your family, I think they would enjoy a splendid bonding time through playing with the games.
The most breathtaking feature of the Garden Suite Two Bedroom that completely blew our mind away is the private garden that you get to have all to you and your family. I would say that this is most ideal hotel if you are looking for somewhere tranquil and peaceful with tight security for your privacy.
Later, our parents and brother joined us at PARKROYAL Penang Resort. The hotel staff surprised us with a wide array of local delicacies and desserts like the kuih-muih, which were super delicious! We chill for a bit in the room and prepared for the dinner later in the evening.

In the evening, we had a cosy dinner at their beachside restaurant called Gustoso By The Beach. Our tables were nicely set up at the beachfront, with all the heart-shaped balloons swaying to the seabreeze. Everything looked so romantic and dreamy! The Italian set dinner was served to us overlooking the gorgeous seaview. The food was served to perfection – beautifully presented food plating, steaming hot soup and the juicy and tender steak.
Throughout the course of the meal, we were served with exceptionally good service, surrounded in a lush ambience with the sound of wave splashes. Don’t even get me started on the sunset view because it is so magnificent and perfect for the ocassion. This is definitely somewhere that lovebirds should splurge for the extra touch of romance. It was a memorable dinner with daddy.
Later on, we had a round two celebration for daddy in our room cause what’s a birthday celebration without cakes right? Daddy had a total of 3 cakes, which is sort of crazy now that we come to think about the calories intake that night. We also got a complimentary chocolate cake from the hotel, which is so sweet of them! The durian flavoured one was sooo delicious and flavourful I can’t even put into words, yummy!

The next morning, we had our breakfast served by the beach at Gustoso By The Beach. I must say that the scenery in the morning is equally as mesmerising as the scenery in the evening. Our personal chef were so skilled The plating of the food and everything is again, perfection! Perry and I even reminisced our high school times and played table tennis for a bit after the breakfast.
After the breakkie, they were kind enough to arrange a spa and massage session for my sis and I at St Gregory Spa. I’m usually really picky when it comes to this because I used to go for a lot of massages when I was always on the flight travelling to different places due to body aches. Trust me when I say this is one of the best spa and massage experiences that I have ever had.
I feel like I super rejuvenated after the spa and massage session. It was super relaxing and the scent makes the whole experience super calming and comforting. If you guys are stress about work of life recently, do consider coming over to PARKROYAL Penang Resort for a massage session because it’s going to be worth every single cent spent!
Before heading back, my sis and I attended a cooking class with their Italian chef. We don’t normally cook at home, but during MCO I have definitely experimented more in cooking than I usually would. Since then, I’ve been more into cooking and it’s always rewarding to learn something new. We learned to make our own risotto and the outcome wasn’t that bad at all.
Overall, it was definitely a high enjoyable experience staying at the hotel. Everything was so squeaky clean, the food and ambience were top notch and their customer service is *chef’s kiss* Thank you to PARKROYAL Penang Resort once again for pampering my dad for his birthday and provided us the opportunity to learn something new and fun. Will definitely revisit in near future!
