It’s Not Living (if it’s not with you) gives a really retro vibe. It’s really romantic that the title and lyrics say “it’s not living, if it’s not with you”. Sometimes, life is about sharing all the simple joy with that one special person.

Another masterpiece by LAUV – Bracelet! It’s suppose to be a sad song but it has a pretty fast rhythm and catchy beats. I used it in one of my IGTV get ready with me, so feel free to go and watch if you haven’t already.

If you’re living in the KL area, I’m sure by now all of you must have seen the advertising posters of Stranger Things on the billboard all around.

I must say that this is one of the really few dramas that lived up to its hype & expectation. I binge-watched from season 1 till season 2 before season 3 was released and was really obsessed with everything about this drama: the storyline, characters & settings – so good!

img_8942

H&M x Stranger Things is one of the coolest collaboration of Stranger Things merch I have seen! They have Mike’s mum’s super hot swimsuit and the Hawkins poolside summery vibe. Super vibrant and retro.

By now, I’m sure all of you are familiar that FRESH is one of my favourite skincare products! This month, I’m really loving their lip products. As I’ve been travelling a lot, my lips need extra care and nourishment.

These lipcare products really help to keep my lips moisturised and healthy: SUGAR Lip Wonder Drops, SUGAR Advanced Therapy & SUGAR Lip Polish. Lifesavers!

Youth Liberator Serum Foundation from YSL has been my favourites for so many months straight! I love wearing it to events because it gives a high coverage but the finishing look is not cakey at all.

This post is a little overdued, but I hope you guys still enjoy reading it :)) July and August favourites are coming up real soon, so stay tuned for that!

LV Men SS20 by Virgil Abloh

Virgil Abloh, Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director finally presented Louis Vuitton Men’s SS20 Collection Presentation in Paris last night!

Before the show, a video featuring a kite with LV monogram was being sent out as invite to the SS20 presentation was released.

Many are expecting the collection to be related to some kind of child-like wonder as the major inspiration.

On the third day of Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2020 itself, the whole LV SS20 men’s collection was showcased at the City of Lights.

The venue wasn’t extensively decorated, but little details like stamping the LV monogram all over the bench really made a huge difference.

A few highlights of his SS20 collection are: accessories (especially bags), flora and fauna & harnesses. He sent down the models in different looks inspired by flowers that is the epitome of streetwear luxe.

All his designs are so classy, playing with fun pops of colours and elements at the same time. Excited for the launch of this Louis Vuitton collection!

May Favourites

After watching Aladdin, I was once again completely mesmerised by the song “A Whole New World“! I like the original version, but the latest version by ZAYN and Zhavia Ward just gives the perfect modern spin to the classical tune.

Soon after the movie was shown, Disney released many more version of the due, performed by different singer in different languages. Personally think that this is a very good step towards inclusion of ethnic diversity!

Also, I collaborated with my talented friend NYK, who is a Malaysian singer, to cover this song. It wasn’t something planned, just a sudden surge of excitement after the movie. Feel free to check it out on my YouTube channel!

My favourite Mandarin song in May goes to 爱情怎么了吗 by 卢广仲 ♥️ I think the melody at the beginning is a little like talking but overall it’s giving a very chill and lovely vibe.

Another series on Netflix nailed down – Dynasty. I’m already at Season 3 and things couldn’t get more intense than this.. Go watch!

The remake of “Aladdin” is phenomenal. First of all, the storyline isn’t much of a wow factor for me. It’s still pretty much the same with classic. However, I do think the cinematography, costumes, the casts and their acting breathed a new live into the storyline. It’s funny and touching in its own way, and I love it.

Personally, I really love the way they shaped Princess Jasmine’s personality. She’s strong, bold and resilient, the total opposite from the traditional roles and expectations of a female. Overall, a vibrant movie that leaves a lasting impression.

KAWS x Uniqlo is the last collaboration Uniqlo will ever have with any other brands !!! The frenzy over this collaboration really caused quite a scene at the Uniqlo stores.

If you didn’t manage to get your hands on this collection, remember to join Perry’s giveaway that’s ending next Friday. Head over to his Instagram to find out how! Good luck ❤️

In May, I went on a media trip to Japan together with one of my long-term favourite high street brand – Louis Vuitton !!! There were so many eye-catching designs for the LV fashion items during my trip.

One of the favourite clothing items I love is the Louis Vuitton Aviator Jacket. I think the pop of yellow colour is quite cool, and the oversized cutting makes it really comfortable to be worn.

The next favourite item that caught my eyes at the presentation room is definitely Louis Vuitton Keepall by Virgil Abloh. It’s absolutely timeless and the mesh material is just pure art.

The FRESH Rose Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask really blew me away 😱 Besides the intense hydration that it provides our skin, the healing power of it almost feels unreal. Even if I’m slept in late that night, my skin would still feel supple and radiant on the next day. Millennials need this baby!

To commemorate their 20th anniversary of the iconic Orgasm shade, NARS came out with a breathtaking collection solely featuring the gorgeous shade. The collection includes: blush, multi-use palette, tinted lip oil & liquid highlighter.

I really love how sleek the packaging looks! The Orgasm shade is no doubt breathtaking in every way. I would say the liquid highlighter gives a really dewy and flawless finish, love it.

I was away to KL for about a week and had the much raved about Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Cream Mousse from Tigar Sugar. Honestly, I wasn’t a fan at first, but the second time I had it, it was quite savoury!

Finally, this is pretty random but Nippon airline deserves a spot on my favourites in May. Their service is top notch! They also provide delicious snacks 🤤

What’s some of your favourites in May? Do let me know in the comments section!

10 Best CDFA Award Red Carpet Looks

CFDA Fashion Awards put on by the Council of Fashion Designers of America, takes place at the Brooklyn Museum to honour the achievements of the best fashion and accessory designers, along with special honorees.

Here are some of the CFDA Fashion Award red carpet looks that blew me away.

1. Jennifer Lopez

First of all, congratulations to J Lo for winning the Fashion Icon Award! She was a stunner as she emerged in custom Ralph Lauren two piece wear alongside fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, on the red carpet.

The cropped top is high neck with long sleeves and contains sparkly particles while the skirt with a long train is made with a more matte fabric. The clutch is in the same fiery hue. Also, her abs are to die for !!!

2. Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid in Louis Vuitton is everything! She wore the custom Louis Vuitton men’s atelier FW19 from January runway’s look.

The monochrome look showcases a powder blue blazer, sash with huge patches and a pants and asymmetrical pleated skirt hybrid. She put her hair down in loose long waves, with simple makeup on her face. Love it !!!

3. Bella Hadid

Bella Hadid decided to go for the sequined black dress from Michael Kors Collection. With the deep V plunging halter neckline and backless design, her asset was flaunted in an effortless manner.

She had some feathery details at the borderline of the hem.

4. Fei Fei Sun

Fei Fei Sun stunned the crowd when she appeared in a slinky mustard gown in a satin fabric designed by Zac Posen.

The plunging V shape neckline and the draping sleeves really adds to her elegance. The fishtail hemline looks great on her as well.

5. Laura Harrier

Laura Harrier in Khaite. The hot red kind of reminds me of the Cardi B Met Gala outfit. This red tulle dress from Khaite’s Fall 2019 collection makes Harrier look like a fashion goddess.

The polka dot makes the lightweight dress stand out even more with the tonal belt defining the waistline a little more. Love her wine red lips that looks so full.

6. Lili Reinhart

The Riverdale star stunned us once more after her appearance on the Met red carpet with her boyfriend, Cole Sprouse last month.

She was in a clean white tuxedo dress with plunging V neckline, embellished with tuxedo-style black collar from designer Wes Gordan.

7. Yara Shahidi

Yara Shahidi’s debut on the red carpet in the Monse ensemble really left a lasting impression.

If there’s anything that you would notice on first glance, it’s definitely her sculptural braided updo crafted by hair stylist Nikki Nelms. The gravity-defying braids are stunning!

8. Emily Ratajkowski

Emily Ratajkowski is the true embodiment of modern day romance in a Hellessy ensemble. She wore an off-shoulder top with a pair of trousers with train and Tabitha Simmons shoes.

Her true red lips were strikingly gorgeous.

9. Devon Windsor

Victoria’s Secret model Devon Windsor served us with another monochrome look in the all white ensemble from Kobi Halperin.

The fringe details on the crop top and high-waisted pants were classy yet fancy. The white cardigan completed the look well by adding that extra chicness.

10. Halima Aden

Halima Aden’s look for the CFDA red carpet actually reminds me a lot of Malaysian singer songwriter, Yuna’s style, especially that stylish turban!

Aden wore Tommy Hilfiger and TommyxZendaya boots, which looked amazing on her. She also disclosed on Instagram that they transformed the kimono from Tommy Hilfiger into “an over-the-top turban”.

10 Most Stunning Outfits on Cannes Red Carpet 2019

Stars arrived at the French Riviera just about a week ago to attend the gamorous Cannes Film Festival 2019.

According to People, many stars and Hollywood insiders are attending the festival to promote their films, most of which are making their world premieres at the event.

Getting a film into the festival, which launched on September 20, 1946, is already a mark of prestige, since only a few dozen films from around the world are picked for official screenings out of many submissions.

1. Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez and Bill Murray attended the Cannes 2019 red carpet for the world premiere of “The Dead Don’t Die”, an upcoming zombie thriller that they’re both starring in.

She wore a simple satin bustier and a white textured skirt with a high split from Louis Vuitton. Her makeup look is incredible with the classic cateye and bold red lips. Epitome of glam!

2. Elle Fanning

In a Valentino Botanical Gown, Fanning wore Chopard jewels and Sophia Webster shoes to the “Les Miserables” premiere on Day 2. The dress revealed her sexy back and looked even more ethereal with the gorgeous floral prints with the train.

Her pinkish and light makeup complimented her floral and feminine look perfectly. The braids she had up is so delicate, complimented with the floral in pastel colours.

3. Bella Hadid

Bella Hadid is back on the Cannes red carpet for the premiere of “Rocketman”. Although she always portrayed as a sexy goddess, she went for a slightly more modest look wearing Dior‘s Haute Couture.

The beautiful cream colour dress featured an asymmetrical hem and halter neckline. Her bodyline could be seen undearneath the sheer mesh material in a subtle and beautiful way.

4. Priyanka Chopra

The burning fire in hell never looked so good, until it is unleashed on the Cannes Red Carpet 2019. Priyanka Chopra wore a Roberto Cavalli Gown with Chopard Jewelry at the screening of 5B. The strapless dress had a thigh-high slit, accessorised with a pair of silver statement earrings.

Her makeup look was fierce, with an unconventional double winged eyeliner.

5. Deepika Padukone

Her first appearance on the Cannes 2019 red carpet featured a dramatic custom Peter Dundas gown, radiating strong femme fatale vibes. The sleeves were extremely puffy, with a plunging neckline, magnificent black bow slid across in front and a super voluminous train.

Her spectacular outfit was complimented perfectly with the high ponytail and fierce makeup. She also adorned simple earrings to complete her look.

6. Peechaya Wattanamontree

Peechaya Wattanamontree attended the screening of “Pain And Glory (Dolor Y Gloria/ Douleur Et Glorie)” in the most glorious light blue ruffle tulle dress from Alikaroui Couture.

She looked like a modern day fairytale princess in this outfit, accessorised with the most elegant jewelry from Avakian with a green heart diamond!

7. Hina Khan

Same as Selena Gomez, it was Khan’s debut on the Cannes red carpet. She made her first appearance during the screening of “Bacurau” and she literally shone like a diamond.

The dress belonged to Zaid Nakad‘s collection “Orion”, featuring  a plunging neckline and a pair of balloon sleeves leading to elaborated floor-length sleeves.

8. Hannah Quinlivan

Quinlivan walked the red carpet in a clasic black gown with bustier by Armani Prive. I think the design really flattered her svelte figure. Her simple makeup and hairdo resembles the classic Audrey Hepburn style.

Also, can we just applaud Jay Chou for being the most supportive husband? He was literally seen “spying” on his wife when she was walking on the red carpet. So cute!

9. Araya Hargate

Araya A. Hargate was on the red carpet for the premiere of “Les Miserables” on Tuesday (May 14). The sheer Atelier Versace Spring 2019 corset gown was extremely seductive and portrats sexiness with class.

The pastel hues of the dress, together with the multicoloured florals cascading from the high-slit made her look like a Greek goddess. So gentle, soft & feminine.

10. Eva Longoria

Longoria was a real showstopper as she cascaded the Cannes 2019 red carpet in this Alberta Ferretti gown to attend the screening of “The Dead Don’t Die“.

The two different texture of the fabric complimented each other perfectly. She exposed plenty of leg on that night thanks to the daring design of the thigh-slit gown.

To sum it up, I definitely see a trend of flamboyant tulle & exaggerated length of trains for the Cannes Film Festival this time round. Which are some of your favourite looks? Let me know!
