Nuyou Trendsetter Party #2019

Honoured to be invited to the Nuyou Trendsetter Party #2019. Huge thanks to Nuyou for featuring me as one of the Top 25 Stylish People in 2019! The biggest sponsors for this Trendsetter Party this year are Laura Mercier & Fossil.

Before the party, we got ready at the back stage by the talented makeup artist Gary! He used all the Laura Merceir products on my face so skillfully. Love the bold red lips.

For my clothing items, I’m all decked up in Louis Vuitton SS19. The top features bright, bold prints. For bottom, we paired it up with an electric blue tight skirt. Finally, the futuristic sneakers LV Archlight Sneakers adds that extra platform that elongates your silhoutte. It has that perfect blend of sporty & feminine, which are great attributes for a casual chic look.

The main theme for this year is City Hippies! The style of clothing for City Hippies features lots of bohemian prints, mainly floral and geometrical prints that are more subtle. The clothes are also more loose, exuding a more laid back vibe. You can head over to Nuyou’s webpage take a look at different ways you can mix & match to bring out your inner City Hippie 😉

I also got to experience walking on-stage along with other influencers. Got to meet some of my followers too! Here are some of my takeaway from the Trendsetter Party #2019.

Hard Rock rocks!

STAY CATION : Hard Rock Hotel

Over the weekends, I spent two days for a staycation over at Hard Rock Hotel Penang. It was a truly relaxing and wonderful experience that I would like to share with you guys.

Lagoon Deluxe Room, which is their best-seller of all times.

On the 50-inch LED TV, you can play all kinds of songs and even watch blockbuster movies while laying comfortably on the soft bed. In addition to that, you will also get a handy phone, which means you get free local calls & international calls as well! I think this is very thoughtful for their guests, especially for foreigners to get in touch with their loved ones without hassle.

When I entered the room, I was greeted with a luxurious space with 2 huge single beds equipped with technology and gadgets.

After changing into swimsuit, I had a quick dip at the pool. I also went to play the water slides cause why not? One is never too old to play water slides. Just a kind reminder to prepare appropriate swimwear for hygiene purposes, if not you might be banned from the entering the pool.

You can always have a quick drink at “The Shack” as it is just by the swimming pool. It is a swim-up bar serves a variety of international and local beverages in a unique setting. If you are staying in the Lagoon Deluxe Room, the serves from “The Shack” will even bring your food and drinks to your private deck from the pool.

Speaking of dedication! They even have underwater stools for you to sit on, half-submerged in the pool while chatting away to your refreshing drinks, cuteee!

Later at night, I had my dinner at Hard Rock Cafe. The cafe features a live band stage and a Rock Shop which offers Hard Rock’s latest and limited edition merchandise. Enjoyed the live band and even sang so loudly to the songs cause major throwback moment. The food there was really delicious as well, munching my pizza away for the rest of the evening.

The Lagoon Deluxe is directly connected to the swimming pool, which the largest free-form swimming pool in northern Malaysia.

Consider getting yourself a tan on the sun bed on the deck if you do not know how to swim like me.

The next morning, I went to Rock Spa right before checking out. Rock Spa offers a diverse selection of services such as massages, body scrubs, body wraps, facials, manicure & pedicure and hair removal.

Since I’m constantly planning things on-the-go, a relaxing massage session like this really helps to cleanse my mind and rejuvenate my soul. While being pampered by the therapists, I also enjoyed the sound of waves and rustling leaves and the beautiful view from the private villa.

Thank you for Hard Rock Hotel Penang for sponsoring my stay! Do check them out on their official website for a chance to WIN a Proton X70 worth RM95,000!!! when you book their “We’re 10 For The Record” room package! Visit:

Haru Hari cafe @Cubo Park, Tanjung Tokong

It is an artistic space / creative bazaar filled with an array of stalls selling different items to curious wanderers.

Nested amidst the quaint shops, Haru Hari will surely make one turn their eyes onto this minimalistic coffee shop furnished with wooden furniture, low-key radiating Muji-esque.

The coffee shop not only serves different kinds of coffee and snacks, Clothing ( by UFCO MAN)  is incorporated proudly as part of Haru Hari’s business as well.

1. Frozen S’mores (RM8) – Before coffee and everything else, their Frozen S’mores are to die for! It’s homemade toasted marshmallow filled with ice cream. Perfect combination of the hot and dreamy marshmellow with the cold and soft ice cream.

Do come early for this as it always sells out fast!

The texture is pretty rich. It tastes bitter because of the grounded coffee beans.

H&M Studio SS 2019 collection

H&M is kicking off their spring and summer collection with bold animal prints, and there’s definitely a lot more in the pipeline that expressive fashion enthusiasts can look forward to.

‘ SS19 collection is inspired by the “glam explorer” and the idea of effortless glamour’ There are so many exciting occasions to look forward to during spring and summer and one of them has got to be Coachella.

Here are some of the designs you can expect from the SS19 collection:

Spice up your look with the sleeveless zebra print top where it hugs your figure perfectly. The pants and structured utility jacket in camel colour could easily teleport one to the breathtaking Arizona desert.

The rainbow-hued printed dress definitely reminds me of the colours from sunset, although it’s actually inspired by the vibrantly-hued mineral ponds of Utah. If you’re not a pro-rainbow colours person, you can opt for the more vibrant pieces from the collection as well, such as the orange coloured pieces. 83B15A79-3832-4290-AD85-5D4BE0AEEA55.jpeg

The dress and jumpsuit in zebra prints is definitely something loud and bold. The frilly fringes and asymmetrical hems embodies the uncertain patterns of mother nature in its most natural and glamourous way.

For a more light, breezy feeling garments, you can definitely count on these vintage-looking white blouse and dress.

The white flowy dress definitely creates an image of “a runaway bride”, inspired by the famous 1975 French movie, Le Sauvage, with Catherine Deneuve as a runaway bride on a tropical island.

A free-spirited glam explorer in some of the thrilling pieces from the SS19 collection. This could be a good time for you to master your approach to maximalist fashion.

with the unconventional colour matching, bold prints, adding some ornaments here, there and pretty much everywhere –

Here’s are some of my personal picks from the SS19 collection.

It’s been pretty fun to mix & match! These two picks totally reflect the line: “she might be going to a party one evening in a sequined skirt, but the next morning she’s up early to go to yoga in her metallic-stripe leggings.” – Pernilla Wohlfahrt, Design Director H&M.

PS // H&M SS19 collection will be available for purchase on 21st March online and in H&M Lot10 store.

TOP 7 picks from Oscar’s & VF afterparty 2019

Michelle Yeoh.jpg

Dato’ Michelle Yeoh carried the same air of elegance as her Crazy Rich Asians character, Elanor Young. She wore an off-shoulder Elie Saab gown festooned in shimmering embellishment and accessorised with a Roger Vivier clutch and Chopard jewelry.

Alessandra Ambrosio

Alessandra Ambrosio is wearing Zuhair Murad with Chopard jewels and Jimmy Choo shoes.

Winnie Harlow

Winnie Harlow caught the eye in a sweeping pink minidress with a highly distinctive ruffled train. It’s thigh-skimming detail fully exposed her tonned legs and the sultry makeup was so beautiful on her.

Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner in couture designer gown Rami Kadi. The dress features a keyhole neckline with a serious leg slit. The shimmery black gown with two panels cascading downwards in the front and back at the Oscar’s was major.

According to Haper’s Bazaar, Kadi previously revealed on Instagram that the dress consists of lurex velvet and includes fringes of beads and crystals at the hips. But anything would look flattering on Kendall Jenner, really.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth was the hottest couple at the VF after party. The singer wore a black sequined Saint Laurent gown with a sexy plunging neckline. Her jewelry was by Bvlgari. Meanwhile, Hemsworth looked spruce in a black suit with a bowtie.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga wears a Tiffany yellow diamond necklace and donned a black Alexander McQueen dress. Congrats on winning “The Best Song” at Oscar’s 2019!

Billy Porter

Billy Porter wore a velvet tuxedo dress/gown by Christian Siriano. It broke gender norms and there was an outpour of support and response all over from the Internet.

“I think this was really more just showing that you can be whoever you want to be, whatever makes you feel food, that’s what you should wear too.” – Christian Siriano, winner of season four, Project Runway.
